Hippity Hop- Dances and Songs for Early Years

This pack of 8 dances and 4 songs has been carefully designed to give guidance to non-specialist teachers in introducing simple traditional dance figures and formations to very young children.

There is a step-by step 'Lesson Plan' for each dance accompanied by a CD with instructions, singing and music. There are also suggestions on how to develop the dances to make them more challenging.

The dances are written to nursery rhymes with which some of the children will already be familiar. The dances get progressively more difficult.

The main aims of the pack are to help develop co-ordination and special awareness, language and confidence, and to have fun with music and dance.
