As I Went Down to Horsham Mabs & Gordon Hall The Hall family home was a singing house and here we have two generations of the family. Mabs learned many of her songs from her parents and her son Gordon was always intrigued by his mother’s ‘quaint old songs’. He realised how important they were and learned many himself. These are two fine traditional folk singers who together sing a remarkable selection of songs from Victorian children’s singing games to ancient ballads. CD Listing 1.
